The park was originally founded in 1977 by the Rotary Club of Clovis. The club worked with the City of Clovis to create a space that would be a “living memorial” to the members of the Rotary Club. They wanted a place where people could come to enjoy nature’s beauty and learn about the importance of conservation. The Rotary Club continues to be involved in the park today, and their efforts have helped to make it the special place it is.
